A Scoping Review of Voice-Related Patient-Reported Outcome Measures in Korea

Background and Objectives The purpose of this study is to provide a resource for clinicians researchers regarding voice-related patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) available in the Korean Language.Subjects Method A systematic search PROMs was conducted December 2021. used five electronic databases, including PubMed, Cumulative Index Nursing Allied Health Literature, Science Direct, Research Information Sharing Service, DataBase Periodical Academic. Furthermore, reference lists from PROMs-related articles journals were independently searched. Search terms emphasized “voice disorders,” “patient-reported,” “instruments” both English Korean. Three independent investigators screened results relevance selected based on study’s inclusion exclusion criteria.Results total 164 studies assessing identified, list narrowed 14 predetermined criteria. Fourteen validated comprehensive review categorized as general voice handicap measures, symptom-oriented socioemotional quality life measures. Additionally, characteristics each fourteen summarized evidence tables.Conclusion are clinical research use; however, care must be taken when consider which instrument(s) use. current provides useful summary could serve guide future reviews PROMs.
